Getting started

Ona is an AI meeting assistant with a memory. It records your conversations, transcribes them, and writes a summary sized to the meeting. Everything it hears becomes memory you can search and question, so the answer to “what did we decide?” is always one ask away.

Today Ona runs on the Mac and in any browser, and both share one memory, so a meeting recorded in the Mac app is ready in the browser straight away. The iPhone app is coming soon. Get it from the download page and sign in anywhere.

The RecordPen is a Bluetooth pen that captures audio when you are away from your devices: site visits, walking meetings, a coffee with a client. It pairs with the app, records with one click, and uploads to your memory the next time it syncs with your phone.

A few minutes. Install the app, sign in, and record your first meeting; there is nothing else to configure. Connecting your calendar or tools is optional and can wait until you want briefs before meetings or notes pushed to where your team works.

No. Ona works from the recording alone. A connected calendar simply gives it more to prepare with: who you are meeting, what you agreed last time, and a brief that arrives before the call starts.

Recording & notes

You start every recording yourself; Ona never records on its own. The app shows a clear recording state, and we ask you to tell people they are being recorded before you begin. Some regions require every participant's consent, so when in doubt, ask first.

Yes. Use your phone on the table or the RecordPen clipped to your notebook. In-person audio gets the same treatment as calls: a transcript, a proportional summary, and a place in your memory.

Ona transcribes more than 30 languages and detects the language automatically, including meetings that switch mid-sentence. Summaries and answers come back in the language you use to ask.

A full transcript, a summary sized to the meeting, decisions, action items with owners, and a mind map for the long sessions. A two-line check-in gets two lines; a two-hour workshop gets sections you can skim.

Yes. Fix a name, reword a summary, or strike an action item, and your memory updates with the correction, so future answers use what you fixed, not what the microphone heard.

Ask Ona & memory

It searches your transcripts and notes, then writes an answer grounded in what was actually said. Every answer names the meetings it came from and links back to the exact moment in the transcript, so you can check the source in one tap.

Everything you have recorded: transcripts, summaries, decisions, and action items, across every device. If you connect tools like Notion or Google Drive, Ona can draw on those documents too, but only the ones you share with it.

Yes, through Ona MCP. It makes your meeting memory available inside tools that speak the Model Context Protocol, so the assistant you already use can cite what your meetings decided.

It can. Because Ona knows what was decided and how you talk about your projects, Ask Ona drafts follow-up emails, project updates, and docs from the conversation itself, ready for your edit rather than your blank page.

Privacy & data

Audio is deleted once it is transcribed and never stays on our servers longer than 24 hours. Transcripts and notes are encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is tied to your account alone. Our security program follows SOC 2 practices with an independent audit in progress. The privacy page covers the full picture.

Yes, and the audio is already gone: Ona deletes it once it is transcribed. Delete one meeting, a range of dates, or your whole account whenever you want. Deletion removes the transcript and everything derived from it, and it propagates to our backups on a fixed schedule.

No. We never use your recordings, transcripts, or notes to train our models, and we never sell your data. Our customers are our users, not advertisers; the details are on the privacy page.

Nobody, unless you share them. Your memory is private by default. On a team workspace you choose which meetings to share, and admins manage members and settings without gaining access to private meetings.

Billing

Two. Free covers 300 minutes of meetings a month. Pro adds unlimited transcription and Ask Ona, notes written automatically, every playbook and scheduled tasks. The pricing page has the current numbers.

In the app, under Settings, then Plan & usage, in a couple of taps. Changes take effect at the end of your billing period, you keep access until then, and nobody makes you talk to anyone.

They stay yours. Going back to Free limits how much new recording you can do, not what you have already recorded: your existing meetings stay in your account and searchable, and nothing is deleted.
