Why Ona
Everyone's typing. Nobody's listening.
The best idea in a meeting gets said once. The promise you made at four is gone by Friday. Most of what we agree on lives in conversations that end, and then it is up to memory.
People cope by typing. Look around any table: half the room is writing notes, and the person talking has half an audience. We think that is the wrong trade.
So we are building Ona to do the part of listening that can be handed off. It takes down the whole conversation, writes the notes and the to-dos, and answers when you ask what was said. You get to stay in the conversation.

Memory should compound
Most tools treat every meeting as a fresh start. Ona treats it as one more page of a story it already knows, so each conversation you record makes the next answer better.
Privacy is the product
A memory of your working life is only worth having if it is unmistakably yours. You choose what Ona records. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold, and gone when you delete it.
Software should be calm
An assistant that interrupts is just another meeting. Ona listens while you talk, writes while you work, and speaks only when you ask. The Band's whole interface is one light.
